Refinished Barrel
This barrel was in excellent condition when from a private individual in Denver, but I had bigger ideas for it. The hoops were first removed and cleaned up to a shine. The barrel was then sanded down and a protective oil was applied. When the linseed oil cured the hoops were replaced on the barrel, secured with new fasteners, and 2 coats of spar urethane was applied for weather-proofing. A generational eye-popper. Wine barrels are 34” high and 23” across at their waist.
