Working as a software engineer in Japan I took up woodworking as a hobby. Now ensconced in my workshop of peace and happiness near Garden of the Gods, Colorado, I tear down spent oak barrels and use every part. Each stave of a barrel has unique character and warmth, so the build process is interesting. This aged oak, with undertones of service in the distillery industry, is a tantalizing medium to work with. Other interests include Linux Music Programming, Arduino, board games and hiking.
